Half Life Wad Converter
WAD is the file extension for texture packages. An acronym for Where's All the Data?, WAD files first originated in ID Software's Doom as a general purpose file archive to help facilitate. A format of the same name was later used in ID Software's Quake engine as a texture package, then consequentially adapted by Half-Life 1's engine. GoldSrc specifically uses version 3 of the format, sometimes referred to as WAD3. WAD files typically contain standard texture sets, custom texture sets for individual levels, sprays, HUD elements and fonts. WAD3 can store 3 types of data (however, WAD format itself allows up 256 types, but GoldSrc uses only 3).

Now it will work just fine.

Have fun Thanks so much! This solution worked for me.

Now I can finally finish this game! And then, once I'm done, I will have nothing to do but wait for Half-Life 3. I recently advised the following from the technical support: 'Please try the following: Exit Steam entirely. Browse to your Steam installation (Usually C: Program Files(x86) Steam ) Rename the 'steamapps' folder to 'oldsteamapps' Re-launch Steam and re-install the game. Once the installation is complete, test the issue. If this resolves the issue, you may copy the new files into the 'oldsteamapps' folder and rename it to 'steamapps' to restore your other games without re-downloading. If the issue is not resolved, you can rename the folder back to avoid having to re-install other games.' I did everything as it is written, and it worked flawlessly, and as if there were no problems.
