Thus you should check that the shut-off valves for the incoming water lines are open. Make sure that the incoming water pressure hasn't decreased and that the water lines aren't kinked or blocked. You should also check the water inlet filters (at the screw connection of the hose) and the flow restrictor insert in the waterproof system. Since the dishwasher was working before the drain hose was replaced, closed shut-off valves and kinked hoses are particularly likely. You may also want to replace the inlet hoses themselves.
(Some anti-burst hoses will restrict the water flow if they detect a leak.) I hope this helps. Cindy Wells Oct 19, 2016. Hi When the Dishwasher won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the float switch assembly. When the water fills your dishwasher, a float rises along with it. As the float reaches a certain threshold level, it shuts off the flow of water, thereby preventing a leak.
Sometimes the float can get stuck in the wrong position in your dishwasher, and it can prevent your dishwasher from filling. Sometimes it can happen due to float valve and on other occasions due to float switch. Inspect the water hose coming to the dishwasher for any blockages.
If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the float switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps.
Please post back if you need more information. Daniel Aug 05, 2011. On my Miele 1220 dishwasher, the inlet filter is inside the inlet hose connector, where it screws onto the water supply.

To clean it: 1. Turn off the stopcock. Unscrew the inlet hose. Remove the black rubber seal gently with a screwdriver. Use pliers to remove the inlet filter.

Clean the filter under running water. Replace the filter and seal. Reconnect the inlet hose to the water supply, making sure the screw does not thread. Turn on the stopcock slowly to check for any leaks. Dec 06, 2008. Hi there, You need to check the water valves and the inlet hose.

All Miele washing machines and dishwashers need to fill in a required time. Flashing inlet (Tap icon) indicates that the machine can not fill in time.

There are filters in the end of the hoses which connect to your water supply from the machine and filters in the inlet valves which you can get at by removing the hose from where it fixes onto the machine it'self. You will need some long nose pliers to grab the little tab on the small filter to get it out. Clean all filters and hoses.
Still same problem then check the pressure of the water coming into the machine. There should be a good pressure coming out of the hose and will be difficult to stop the flow of water with your finger. Dec 20, 2007.
